STRONG ROOTS

A sparkling and youthful introduction to the history of a great choir - University of Latvia mixed choir “Dziesmuvara” (Songpower). The choir started its journey in 1925 and has been an important part of latvian culture ever since. This year marks the 98th anniversary of the choir and an important event – a presentation of a new album recording consisting of bright compositions dedicated to the choir. Sounds of the Latvian traditional instrument “kokle”, the tembre of organ as well as sophisticated lighting works will contribute to the overall event.
